I still have reservations about the 2010 Olympics being here in my city. I'm kind of excited, but it's certainly likely to cost we the taxpayers a few pennies before it's all over.
And Chicago has so much corruption that it was really clear the taxpayers were going to be paying for more than just the Olympics.
Still, it's fun! When it was in Atlanta, about 200 miles away, we had some spillover in the form of training camps, qualifying events, etc., and it was neat to be around all that. Being where the real thing happens will be wonderful! And you could sublet for $$$ if you wanted to.
