It was indeed the artist (himself - though 'her' would have suited far better!) who posted the illustrations. I had my own reservations about posting them, but I reckoned since they're my own work, it couldn't do too much harm. The book is being sold, after all - and becomes 'public' in that sense.

If I get into trouble with Folio, I'll let you know!

Sorry, Mr. Himmapaan! Should never make assumptions! What an honor, to hear from you! I want to tell you again how completely overwhelmed I was by the beauty of your drawings. I can't wait to get the book.

And very glad you decided to take the chance and let us see them. Thank you, thank you.

Thank you! I'm very touched by all the kind comments - yours included, of course.

And no need to apologise. The fact is, in an ideal world, your assumption would have been the correct one. The plain truth of it is that I'm the wrong gender altogether - and I have to exist with it.

I do hope that wasn't too much to begin a new acquaintance with...

Not at all! I'm glad you can talk about yourself--that's why we have LJ, right? But I notice that online sometimes we respond to people as their inner selves, since we don't see their outer selves.
