Maybe we all sometimes think LJ is its own world, unrelated to real life (and maybe that's a good thing) but here's a case where LJ made something happen. A couple of years ago someone from my flist (maybe anom? (maybe arethusa2? ) suggested a way to reach high school students and help them think about peace. And here it's actually happening. I passed on the suggestion and others made it happen. Thanks, LJ (or more specifically, whichever of you great folks thought of this).

That is so wonderful, especially if it gets kids to think of adding meaning to their lives through fighting for peace instead of war.
