Facebook, do you hate me? Almost all those people you think I might want as friends--really, I don't. I kind of avoid them. Lately someone asked to friend me--in real life, that person crosses the street to avoid smiling and nodding at me. Facebook, please get a clue.

Yeah. Me too. Just because we have six friends in common doesn't mean I have any intention of associating with some people.

After I wrote that, I thought I sounded so evil and snobby. Not that--it's just that I was in a situation where I made a lot of hiring and firing decisions, and the ones who didn't get the result they like--they really don't want to be my friend. I know they don't. And from the way they've behaved since then, I'm fine with that.

Didn't come across that way to me at all. Trust your instincts about those sorts of people. Life is too short.

Just found it so weird that FB had produced a list made up mostly of people I would work to avoid. Nobody on LJ! These are real-life people.

Well, some of the people I have friended are ones that I really like, and it's my best way to stay in touch with them (plus playing Scrabble and Mahjong...)
