The visit to Chicago started nicely on Tuesday with sunshine and temps around 80F, but has disintegrated, as always when I'm here, so that today is rain with highs in the 40's. Sigh. At least I knew what would happen and packed accordingly.
However, we've seen Million Dollar Quartet and the Joffrey, and I got to walk to Whole Paycheck in the good weather and lay in some yummies. Tonight we had to walk only a block to see Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (and they did a perfect job with Lisbeth Salander, whom I've come to love, after all), and then to the Breton crepes restaurant across the street, and now I'm home and the heater's burbling away and I'm going to watch either an episode of The Tudors or Men Who Stare at Goats, or even both. And next week will be a little warmer to permit trips to art museums and Russian restaurants, so I won't complain. Doing my yoga athope home (but maybe I was right with the typo) this visit--still too many modifications, but by next visit, will be able to go back to the studio, so all is as good as it can be.
