Did anybody else watch last night's House? I really liked the way they not only made him look like Van Gogh but shot some of the scenes to look like a Van Gogh painting. Hoping it's not spoilery to say that he still has two ears at the end.

Hee! I'm glad he survives the episode with both ears intact! That would've been quite a job for make-up, to hide Hugh Laurie's ears for the rest of the series!

It was an excellent show. It did have that inference, plus being a bit like "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"... just a bit.

I did like that he appeared to have softened a bit, but will still be himself. True about the woman.

Other than the conversation, I don't recall any van gogh looking scenes.

The scenes in the bedroom he shared had the same kind of colors and shapes as Van Gogh's painting of his room in Arles (http://sharpinsandiego.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/vangogh_roomatarles.jpg) and his short hair and beard made him look like VG in some self-portraits.
