Well, we got a little rain, after all--more than just a sprinkle, but not nearly what we need. There was a good steady downpour for about half an hour and then a lighter rain, later, for a little longer time. And that was late in the day, so the sun's heat was dying down, and the plants got to soak a lot of it up through their leaves. Sitting out on the deck at sunset, it felt as though all the green around me was...greener. Kind of a general sense of relieved plants.

Hope we get some more, though.

There is a storm in the mountains to the northeast just outside town here, too, tonight. But there is no telling what direction it will come down off the mountain. Our storms come from all directions this time of year.
