It's a very pretty day out there, still a little cool for April, and I am going to get up and go for a walk while the sun is shining. But first I'll take the heavy blankets off my plants (poor dears, just remembered them) and contemplate weeding. I'm planning to plant some veggies for the first time in several years because a friend says he'll garden with me so they won't die while I'm off somewhere and we get five straight days over 100F, which happens every year. But first, must double-dig, amend, fertilize. Sigh, no compost, but just bought a nice composter, which should be easier to use than the old pile I had for so long. Dreams of heirloom tomatoes warm from the sun...
