Happy today because I just spent some time going through old photographs, some I'd forgotten I had. I'm getting ready to scan a bunch of them for each of my sons for Christmas.

As usual, I'm asking for a recommendation. I wanted to make a DVD photo album--I've got a new computer and won't have a problem burning the disc, but am looking for a good program to create the album. Free or cheap is a plus, but not necessary. I have the Windows slide show maker that's free, but really want to make an album so they can stop and look at individual pictures, and I can add captions.

Any ideas?

I've never used this feature yet myself, but Nero Media Suite should be able to do this. Since I was already recommending Nero Wave Editor for digital music transfers, you might get a two-fer or more on this Suite for your 80 bucks.

But as I just said, haven't used this Nero app., only authored regular video DVDs with it. If anyone on your flist has, and has had problems with it, or finds it clunky or difficult to use, please chime in!

I think Kodak or ShutterFly have something. Not sure, but I bet if you google it you'll find something worthy ;-)
