Today I got this from a neighbor at our beach house, summing up the recent holiday activities there:

*we got big wild hogs and little baby hogs digging up our lawns
*we got lynch mobs forming to go after the hogs ( but not baby hogs) cant decide to shock em, shoot em, starve em or stick the hounds on them
* we got a resting gator in the ditch with residents ready to lay down beside him to verify length
* we today get the gator to poke his snout in the fence and pose for a pic
* and the latest is we now have dead possums hanging in trees in plastic bags

I think what makes me happy today is that I'm not down there! Although I will be next week...

But sad for the dead possums (haven't heard the details on that last one, so don't ask).

This little pggy tore up the yard

If the gator doesn't seem to bother the hogs, it's going to take some serious measures to get rid of them. Wild hogs are smart. ;o)

Yes, that definitely seems to be the case! The local wildlife people say the electric fence should work. The hogs haven't gotten to our yard--so far, at least.

For some reason I thought you lived in Alaska, so my immediate response to this was: Gosh, global warming has gone further than I thought.

Heh! No, we just have a goodlooking but bizarrely dumb governor who wants to be president--but they grow those in the south, too. I'm in SC, where gators are all too common.

Oh my goodness!!! WEIRD! You do have a very interesting life here and there!

Now you can understand why I wish I could live down there...or maybe you can't.

Well, so am I! The beach is a wild and crazy place--sometimes I wish I could be down in it all the time, but then when I think about gators on the road...not so sure!

Or bagged opossums hanging from trees...

A beach sounds heavenly though!
