Here's a trip I'll be taking on Monday, going from the Manchester NH airport to NW Connecticut:

"...if you choose to go through Vermont on Route 9 from Brattleboro to Bennington, you might be interested in a show at the Bennington Museum. I picked up a copy of a four-state art magazine yesterday and saw information about a special show there. Apparently in 1837 the state of Vermont started the Vermont State Art Collection and has been adding to it ever since. That collection (or part of it?) is featured at the Bennington Museum until October 26 and in September and October the museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week. It might be a little heavy on portraits from the earlier times, but the article says that lots of Vermont art has been added in the past forty years.

From Old Bennington, where the museum is located, it's an easy few miles to Route 22 in New York state..."

I don't think I have any flist folks along that route, but just thought I'd check.
