It's 9:30 and I have yet to pack, not even finished cleaning for the house/cat sitter. We took a huge Indo-Tibetan meal out to the prison, and the guys were incredibly joyful--they never see fresh fruit. Strange the things we take for granted. But before I go to sleep I have to sweep, wipe the tub and sinks, clean the toilets, mop kitchen and bathrooms, and pack (clothes are semi-selected, but have to make the final difficult choices when half of it won't fit). And then get up at 5, drive to Charlotte, wake my wonderful nephew so I can leave my car with him for a month, and get to the airport by 8:30. At that point, I can relax...
Next stop Chicago--wish I could go to Wiscon, but as usual am way overbooked. However, stop after that is Vancouver!!! And then Portland!! and on to Berkeley. And eventually, back to the beach.
