OK, I've made it two days on WoYoPraMo--each day started to do 10 minutes and did a whole practice. But still remind myself that all I really have to do is get out the mat.
Writing--I'm not up for a novel right now. Maybe by the end of the month, but I don't have anything that size in mind right now. And in many ways, stories are very good for my writing skills at the moment, although I know they won't get published, nor read if they do. What's good about stories for me is the focus. I have one main character, one plot, everything ties together. My novels were not like that--but hoping this practice will keep me in the lane when I move back to larger things.
Also, I'm realizing that things like NaNoWriMo and Novel in Ninety maybe aren't what I need. I don't have a hard time generating the first draft, but it's extremely hard getting back into the voice and head of the characters for revisions. I don't have unfinished things in the sense of not writing to the last scene, but definitely do have many drafts that need to be seriously reworked. So for now, it's the same as yoga--just do some every day.
Meanwhile, it is colder than Saturn here. How do you folks in the North stand this kind of weather on a regular basis? I actually lie awake at night fearing the cold. So a good remedy is soup. It warms and humidifies! So far, the Christmas game hens became egg and lemon soup and the Eve lamb became (truly wonderful) Shorba (this version involved garbanzos, tomatoes, garlic, onions, cumin, lots of chilis, cardamom, saffron, cinnamon, and mint, topped by yogurt--warms the body and the soul).

I don't leave the house if I don't have to. Sad I know, but much warmer.
Edited for lack of brackets. Also, I have thought about WoYoPraMo both days of this year, so maybe that counts. Hee I can do that while I worry about Napowrimo. Yes, a plan!

I have to admit that sitdown meals together are not a daily or maybe even weekly occurrence here. I cook only for fun, now that I have that option.

Two words: Long underwear. Heehee.
Advice often ignored in schoolgrounds: do not lick metal poles when the temperature is below freezing.

No pole licking for me!
