And he's an intact tom! Don't know when I've seen one. I've seen some feral mom cats, but this is the first tom in many a year. He's a sweetie, but the old lady cats in my house and yard are casting their evil eyes at him. He came up on the porch and ate most of a bowl of kibble while I was scraping and sanding, but left when the paint came out, as a sensible cat should.

I will inquire in the neighborhood email if anyone's missing a cat, but he has dirty paws and a lean and hungry look.

Bill said to the neighbors, "I know how this story turns out."

Going to try very, very hard not to. I currently have one inside cat and one outside cat who do not get along. They're both females, so a male might manage better, but more hissing and growling is not needed!

I love Bill's response -- especially since it's true!!
