We couldn't get Cubs tickets yesterday and anyway I had the sniffles, so a wonderful day spent reading Harry Potter. I can understand how people read the whole thing in one sitting, but I'm dragging it out just a little...today we have standing room tickets, so it's beer and hot dogs for me. It's not often our team has a winning streak. Plenty of people in the ticket line reading HP, though.

I'll be watching that game on TV. Being a Cardinals fan I can't wish the Cubs good luck. But I won't wish them any bad luck! Since I'm fond of the Daimondbacks as well, that is saying something.

Well, not the best effort, it turned out, but a beautiful day and a great crowd. Glad we paid only $12 to stand--some of the game-day seats were going for $90. The Diamondbacks definitely played better ball.

Hope your sniffles are going away -- and enjoy the Cubs and HP7. :-)

I have been reading it since noon. While Ben's at work. I've stopped at the half way point because Cole came and got me and the light was going. And oh, there's things that need doing.

It wasn't exactly easy to put down. I am ok with that too because it will last longer. Also, Ben will catch up and that will be fun.

Yeah, I'm about halfway through, too, and taking breaks for ball games and even Bleak House on TV--also want to make it last longer. But I'm realizing that I can already reread His Dark Materials (Golden Compass, etc) because I've forgotten most of what happened, so hopefully in a few years HP will be the same.+
