I already knew this, in a general sense. There are families in many countries who could live for a year on what I spend in a week--and I buy used clothes, drive an old car, have an old house, and rarely eat out and don't eat much meat. I don't have up to date electronics, get my books from the library, etc. But rich--yes. I am. Too rich. I use too much of the earth, leaving too little for others. I've seen people going through garbage to find plastic water bottles, and children sitting outside schools their parents can't afford, hoping to overhear some knowledge.

We should contribute and give through all the good agencies--absolutely. But that's really not enough. We need to change the world.
