Day Seven: Four silly quirks
Only four?! My OCD needs way more space
1. I have to have all my Firefox tabs lined up in the same order every day. Really, I will stop and fix them if one gets closed by accident. LJ is #4, after gmail, the calendar, and FB. #5 is the weather. I do allow one-off tabs in random order, but has to be after the regular tabs.
2. I want the silver in the dishwasher to be sorted as it goes in. However, getting my husband to agree to that is hopeless, so it happens only when I'm here by myself. (And I have no problem leaving dirty dishes in the sink and letting him do the loading. Not an especially neat person, just fixated in certain small areas. Somewhat like a cat.)
3. However, when here by myself, I don't like to sleep in a totally dark house. I want one light on downstairs even though I can't see it. Just don't like the idea of all that darkness down there...
4. I don't do down escalators, not if I can find a stairway or elevator--but will do them if it means dragging other people all over the building. Up escalators are not a problem.

I make it a rule to use the little ones to try to get used to them, but it's hard. I also don't do well with driving in high mountains, or seats at the edge of high balconies in theaters.

*II* think the way I order things in the kitchen is sensible, but seems very compulsive to Bill (who can't pass a light switch without turning it off--also sensible to him and compulsive to me).
"Quirky," please!! ;o>
