Hee. There is a god.

(This is from [livejournal.com profile] ursulav).

Last night Cheney didn't defend Halliburton but suggested that viewers could get the real story at factcheck.com

So try it (really. Click on the link):

http://www.factcheck.com

He must have meant http://www.factcheck.org but that's what happens when you don't get your facts straight...

To see what the real FactCheck said about last night's debate (and it doesn't help Cheney that much on Halliburton), you can look at http://www.factcheck.org/article.aspx?docid=272

My favorite oops from Dick was when he said he never met Edwards before. Gotta love the video of Dick meeting Edwards 4 years ago up on the DNC (http://www.democrats.org/) site today. I'm thinking that maybe Dick should think about talking the President into lifting the ban on the stem cell lines.

Do they really think we are that stupid, especially when he said that he never said there was a connection between Hussein and 9/11? I have a memory. This wasn't even plausible deniability.

Something tells me that Dick is going to regret that

Not giving the wrong address, but giving that address at all. The Republicans don't come out looking good there. If I were going to vote based on the truth as reported by factcheck alone, I would be voting Democrat. There are some lies, more like exaggerations, but not remotely like the Republicans. It supports the assertion that the President and VP have been lying to us. Dick made a mistake...Dick made a mistake...Dick made a mistake. I didn't think they did that. Can he make some more? Maybe having Leahy in the audience shook him up. Can Leahy follow him around for the next 27 days? Then Dick can go back to his undisclosed location. I think after the War is over, there will be little plaques everywhere "Undisclosed location of Vice President Cheney on" and the date, similar to "Washington slept here" signs.

One of the editors of The Nation wrote a book about Cheney that sounds excellent:

also, the statement that he had never met edwards before in his life, and then all the footage of him meeting and sitting next to him at a special event. heelarious.
