Too bad, indeed! I have a friend who writes zombie fiction and I was thinking "He'd love this." But now--maybe not!

I can just imagine Mrs. Bennet gossiping on and on about the personal undead lives of all the zombies.

Typical dialog from the book:
Darcy (bored, but reloading) to Bingley - I must say there are an intolerable number of tedious zombies in these parts.
Bingley to Darcy - Oh, my dear Darcy, I can't imagine why you'd think of zombies at a time like this. Enjoy yourself! Aside from the screaming and murders, this has been such a delightful ball and you haven't even danced with my sisters yet!
