Kathryn Davis, The Thin Place. Well, wow. This is a book and writer I knew nothing about, but read almost in one sitting once I started. I can't even say what it's about--a little town in Vermont (I think) and the people who live there--including a girl who brings people back to life. But it is so beautifully written, and what I found most intriguing was the many, many points of view--maybe 10 or fifteen people, cats and dogs, beavers, even fish. We learn in a sort of background way that the country has been invaded, but it doesn't seem to have much to do with the people and animals who love and die and live again--or not.
