I seem to have a callus on my hand from opening cat food cans.

I think the ownership goes the other way....oddly, this is all pretty much for one cat who isn't even my official cat (my cat likes only dry food). This stray has been living in my yard for about 10 years, and doesn't like to be inside. Now she's old and eats only a little bit at a time, but the other strays eat up the remains and so I keep opening new cans for her.

Well that's really sweet of you!

And thank you about the icon. It's one of those pies I made the other day.

did you know...

the quantity of cat-callousing one has on the hands is inversely proportional to the quantity of callousing one has in one's heart?
...and you thought Valentine's day was over!! HA!

Yeah! I think it comes from banging on the bottom to knock it out of the can so I don't have to get a fork yukky.

No joke, I bet you do. I once convinced a group of cats that I had no idea how to open a can, and did it so well they never came to me for food for the next six years. :)

Heh! Well-done. My own official indoor cat doesn't even like canned food, but I'm trying to keep a very elderly stray healthy--she only eats a little at a time and won't come inside for long.
