I should keep a list too...I read so much I forget what I read a month or so ago.
I've been on a major reread of the entire Valdemar series by Lackey. Arrows of the Queen was her first book, and it shows. The writing gets better with every book, and she's developed quite a detailed universe. I really like her Elemental Mages series too; it's based on some of the well known fairy tales, like Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, with a twist.
I have Guy Kay's book on my reading pile. I am a big fan of his work.
